Kindi is Zodi and Wakan’s daughter. She is a bang up retriever but that energy is equally balanced with being one of the sweetest most cuddliest of girls (I’ve seen this in a lot of Wakan’s pups!)

Timber is also an AMAZING retriever and he’s got the pedigree to support it. His father is a NZ Field Trial GRAND CHAMPION! Like Kindi, Timber is also one of the most cuddliest of labs.

I fully expect these puppies to have their parents strong retrieving drive and equally strong cuddly natures. Great for family adventures and equally great to have curled up on the couch next to you in the evenings.

This will be Kindi’s first litter. Timber sired the “Months” litter in 2018 which resulted in some wonderful labs… our Magic Ralf and Lacy for starters.

This has been a match planned for some time now! Anouk is my sweetheart girl imported from Australia from a long line of multi-champion Labradors. She is just one of those Labradors who think you walk on water and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is an absolute joy and proved herself an excellent mother as well with the Whittaker’s Litter in 2020.

Rain is my stunning boy out of Scotch + Saba. He is a head turner wherever he goes. An excellent retriever who loves the water and belly rubs, Rain is one very cool lab. Rain is charcoal in colour with a lovely head and broad chest. With a very loving therapy dog nature (like his dad), he embodies the ultimate retriever — loves everyone and everything and takes it all in stride.

These pups should have wonderful temperaments and fantastic builds with lovely heads. I expect a moderate energy level with easy going natures but keen participants in family life.

When Wakan came on the scene in 2019, I knew he would be perfect for two of my girls: Zodi and Scotch.

Zodi came out of retirement to have a litter with Wakan (in 2019) and now it is Scotch’s turn! This will be Scotch’s final litter as well.

Our first litter with Wakan brought a surprise… long-coated Labradors! There were 2 born in Zodi’s litter (see our boy Bear). The odds of producing long-coated Labradors when breeding two pedigreed/purebred labs together is 1 in 60,000! Because the gene IS so rare and only a coat length trait (with no health impact), it is not routinely tested for.

However after the appearance of the two puppies, I tested several of my dogs and discovered that not only did Zodi carry one hidden copy of the gene but her daughter Scotch does too… as does Wakan!

So we already know that Scotch’s litter with Wakan will very likely include some long-coated Labradors. Statistics say 25% of the litter should be long-coated.

This litter should be a stunning litter. Not only will their coats be unique (both in colour and for some… length) but Scotch’s previous litters have proven to me that she produces puppies with gorgeous temperaments and lovely builds. (My boy Rain is from her first litter with Saba. My girl Luff is from her second litter with ArtiZen.)

Stunning looks, great temperaments and a lovely mix of sweet/cuddliness but with energy available for the asking… this is truly a litter like no other.

MuZee is Bijou’s sister, daughter of Jupi and ArtiZen. I’ve often said that Bijou got her mother’s laid back nature and her dad’s build while MuZee got her dad’s happy-go-lucky nature and more of her mother’s build! The two sisters are as different as night and day in terms of their build and energy level. But when it came time for me to pick between the two of them when they were younger, I just couldn’t! Both of them were so different but both wonderful labs.

MuZee is a fun-loving girl who is always up for an adventure. This will be Pilot’s first litter but he is an awesome boy and I expect his babies to be the same. Pilot is a gentle soul, from strong therapy dog lines. He’s super cuddly and calm but also is a bang-up retriever and loves to swim! I know when paired with MuZee, I can expect a wonderful and beautiful litter!

I expect medium build Labradors from this litter. This is an exceptional Therapy Dog/Emotional Support Dog candidate litter.

Bijou and Nash gave me the “Coffee” litter in 2021. That was Bijou’s first litter and she proved to be a GREAT mum. It was a fabulous litter and so I’m repeating the breeding.

Bijou parents are Jupi and ArtiZen. She inherited Jupi’s super calm, chilled out nature and ArtiZen’s stocky build. She’s on the small end for female Labradors and just a complete joy. She’s easy going, loves to swim and is very quiet... almost stealth like (like her mum!)

Nash is a BIG stocky boy with a fabulous blocky head. He’s a much beloved family member and known for his easy going nature. I’ve noticed however that some of Nash’s pups here at Skylit tend to be more outgoing.

In their last litter, some pups were more outgoing in nature while others were practically clones of their mother — super chill. All however were beautiful and are well-loved by their families.

I expect this litter to be relatively stocky in build with medium energy level.

Rora is from Cairo + Magic Ralf’s Tiger Time litter. She is an amazing retriever with unbelievable athleticism. Have you seen the photos of Rora jumping up and peering over the 2m fencing? While she is very likely capable of scaling any fence, she doesn’t. Her jumping up to extreme heights is out of pure joy only.

Rora’s favourite thing is the world is to play fetch and she’s never the one to quit first. Her second most favourite thing in the world is cuddling. She is very very sweet. She also inherited just a touch of her mum’s quirky nature that often makes me laugh and is very endearing.

I have paired Rora with Sully to rein in a bit of that exhuberent energy that she offers but at the same time to suitably match the strong loving nature. I expect their puppies to have strong play drive with equally strong cuddly natures. They should be excellent competition candidates or just great companions for family adventures. They will be besotted with you and very keen to join in on any activities.

Sully has produced some exceptional puppies at Skylit, including assistance and therapy dog candidates. I am excited to see these pups!

Mokka is from my Anouk & Nash “Whittaker’s Litter” in 2020. She is a very happy-go-lucky girl who loves to play with others and absolutely adores her family. She has a lovely stocky build and very dark chocolate coat.

I’ve chosen Bear as a mate for her as he has a very similar level of play drive but also has a lovely “off” switch where he will just melt into you for cuddles. His silky long coat makes him a dream to snuggle with!

Mokka and Bear have the possibility of having traditional or long coated puppies in black and/or yellow with the yellow ranging to fox red in colour like Bear. Statistically, 50% of the litter should be long-coated.

I expect their puppies to be medium in build with moderate to higher energy levels paired with lovely cuddly natures.
