***UPDATE: AT THIS TIME I HAVE A FOREVER FAMILY LINED UP FOR WREN***
Serenity (or Wren) is a beautiful light yellow/cream female from my October 2020 X-men litter (Rivi + Sully). She is a soft, sweet, quiet, unimposing girl who reminds me so much of her mother AND her grandfather (Polaris).
Like many of the puppies from that litter, Wren is a BIG cuddler. She has all the attributes of a Therapy Dog candidate or an emotional assistance dog. She is very people focused and therefore may also excel as a seizure alert dog with the proper training.
Wren loves car rides, walks, swimming and fetch. She is basic obedience trained. She has excellent home manners, is crate trained, but equally good loose in the home. She is not destructive and does not exhibit any separation anxiety. She has been around cats and doesn’t seem to pay them any attention. Her favourite thing in the world is her unicorn pillow pet which she sleeps with every night.
Wren passed her health testing with flying colours. She is fully vaccinated and microchipped. While I’m confident she would have been an excellent mum much like her own mum Rivi, her grandmother Mala and her great-grandmother Moon, she was spayed and retired in 2023 due to having some food sensitivities and her ears needing more maintenance/management.
I am looking for a new forever family for Wren. Could it be you? Here are some of the criteria I’m looking for in the perfect family for her:
You live on the North island of New Zealand
Your home is a residential type setting (ie not a farm)
If you have any children, they are at least school age
If you have any current dogs, they are male
Wren would be no more than 4hrs a day without companionship (dog or human)
Wren would live an indoor lifestyle (ie not living in a kennel outside or in the garage)
Wren would be incorporated into your lifestyle and be a member of your family
If that sounds like it could be you, you can start the Skylit application process here: www.skylitlabs.co.nz/applynow
Please note that finding the RIGHT home for Wren is my goal. Wren’s adoption fee is $350 (direct deposit) or her new family can purchase $500 in merchandise from The Dog House Shoppe (www.thedoghouseshoppe.co.nz) if they’d prefer instead.
Wren is currently located in Dannevirke.
